LocaTripJapan is a personalized travel planning service for visitors to Japan. We create custom day-by-day itineraries based on your interests, dietary needs, and travel style. Every plan is personally crafted by a local expert who lives in Japan.

Guidebooks and blogs offer generic recommendations. Our plans are built specifically for you — your dates, your interests, your pace. We also include specific addresses, Google Maps links, insider tips, and transportation details between each spot.

Currently we specialize in Tokyo, as our founder lives here and knows the city intimately. We plan to expand to Kyoto, Osaka, and other Japanese cities in the future.

We offer four plans: Basic ($100) includes 1 travel plan, Mid ($200) includes 3 plans with 1 revision, Premium ($400) includes 3 plans with 3 revisions and during-trip support, and Concierge ($1,000) includes unlimited revisions with dedicated concierge support.

Typically 24-48 hours after we confirm your preferences via chat. For Concierge plans, we prioritize your request and aim for same-day delivery.

Yes! The number of revisions depends on your plan. Mid plans include 1 revision, Premium includes 3, and Concierge offers unlimited revisions. Basic plans do not include revisions.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe, our secure payment processor. All prices are in USD.

Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if no plan has been delivered. Once a full plan is delivered, refunds are not available. Please see our Terms of Service for details.

Absolutely. Let us know about any allergies or dietary needs in your hearing form, and we will select restaurants accordingly. Please note that while we research carefully, cross-contamination is possible in Japanese kitchens. We always recommend confirming directly with restaurant staff.

Yes! We regularly create family-friendly plans. Let us know the ages of your children and any specific needs (stroller access, nap times, etc.) and we will design the day accordingly.

Of course. We can plan routes that minimize stairs, use elevators, and include taxi transportation. Please mention any mobility considerations in your hearing form so we can accommodate them.

No problem! You can submit your request anytime. If your trip is more than 2 weeks away, please note that our response time may be slightly longer. We will make sure your plan is ready well before your trip.

Premium and Concierge plan holders can chat with us during their trip for real-time support. Premium plans include 1-hour response times, and Concierge plans include priority 30-minute responses.

We check operating hours and closure days when creating your plan. However, unexpected closures can happen. If you encounter this, message us via chat and we will suggest an alternative nearby.

You can copy the entire plan text using the "Copy Plan" button and save it in your notes app for offline access. Google Maps links can also be saved for offline use.
